Sisters of the Most Precious Blood of O'Fallon Mission Fund

The Marillac Mission Fund (MMF) is excited to announce a new charitable partnership with the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, O’Fallon (CPPS) to continue their unique charism of being a reconciling presence of Christ in a challenged world.

The Sisters of the Most Precious Blood of O’Fallon, Missouri (CPPS) are on a journey toward completion. In their graced 180+ year history the CPPS sisters worked to ensure all were included, welcomed, and treated with respect through their presence in education, art and expression, health care, access to food, in daily living and social circles, and beyond.  The CPPS sisters are women of God, called to live the Gospel. They model how to be instruments of peace and healing, how to affirm and empower the excluded and the voiceless. While no longer as active in external ministries, they see the world in need of more healing and reconciliation and have determined that their mission to bring the reconciling presence of Jesus to the world – to love as Jesus loved – will continue through philanthropic giving, thanks to new collaborations.

As a philanthropic program of Ascension, MMF's new partnership with the CPPS sisters represents an example of the inspiration behind the Ascension name - before Christ ascended into heaven, he asked His followers to go forth and continue His loving ministry.  Similar to Ascension’s founding Sponsors, the Sisters of Most Precious Blood, O’Fallon’s have entrusted MMF to continue their legacy forward through charitable support to address the greatest needs.

This spring, the CPPS sisters entered into a formal relationship with two organizations to establish funds that will steward their gifts to nonprofit organizations, projects, and programming that give ongoing expression to their values of Presence, hospitality, and responding to human needs, as well as their charism of reconciliation.

As a ministry of the Catholic Church rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer, MMF looks forward to honoring the CPPS Spirit-filled history by investing in charities that will advance this community’s legacy.  Like the Daughters of Charity, MMF will work closely with the CPPS Sisters for guidance, hope and inspiration as we begin this new partnership. Starting in FY2026, the new CPPS Mission Fund will be distributed through MMF’s existing Responsive grant cycles in the fall and spring each year.  If you have any questions, please reach out to MMF staff.
