Spring FY25 Grant Cycle Now Open!

December 10, 2024

Twice annually, online applications are accepted for consideration from eligible nonprofits through our Responsive Grant and Capacity Building Grant programs. The application must meet our eligibility requirements and filing deadline, and Responsive Grants must be for support of a project in one of our focus areas of community need or general operating support if the organization's work is 100% within one of the focus areas below:

  • Immigrants & Refugees
  • Older Adults Living Independently
  • Human Trafficking Prevention
  • Rural Well-Being *New
  • Veterans *existing grantees only
  • Advocacy & Coalition-Building *must be working in one of the areas above

The Capacity Building Grant Program (CBG) is designed to provide support for improvements in key organizational functions within grantee organizations aligned with our focus areas Eligible organizations must have received at least one year of MMF grant funding.  The Standard CBG Program is intended to provide pass-through funding support for consultant fees and directly related costs, e.g., material resources, travel, overnight lodging that is essential to the project. Support can include training fees, information technology, and other costs directly related to capacity building activities.  This process involves seeking proposals from and vetting multiple consultants before applying, so please reach out early.

We seek programs that respect and protect the dignity of each person, especially those that are experiencing poverty and vulnerability.
If this is a new project or you are a new applicant organization, please contact the Marillac Mission Fund staff at 314-733-6500 to discuss your proposal in advance.  You may also use the following links to schedule a 30-minute chat with one of our Program Managers, Emily or Katy, to discuss your ideas, ask questions about the process, or just to connect.
The Spring FY2025 cycle Responsive and Capacity Building Grant applications will be due online by 11:59pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Note: A final status report for a current grant must be received and approved before an application can be submitted for a new grant.  This means that your previous grant must have ended on or before October 31, 2024 to be eligible to apply.  If you were awarded a grant that began in May 2024 and your grant cycle ends April 30, 2025, you are not yet eligible to apply.  The following grant cycle will open in mid-June and be due August 1, 2025.
